      does anyone know the password needed to "reset factory setting".....i got the phone as a gift but the manual book that came with it doesnt have the factory password noted.....

      or, can anyone tell me how to reset the sms messaging setting so that i can send and save all sms communications 'sent'....

    2. Invalid Sim

      I just got this phone as a gift from a friend who came from Spain.

      I tried my Brazilian SIM from TIM Brasil on both sim spots but it says "Invalid Sim", although it reads my sims contact list as normal.
      My friend said he tried it with Orange from Spain and it worked fine.
      What can be wrong, here?

      My IMEI starts with 1, as in:
      135790246811220

      I don't know if it's important, but thought it'd be good to say. Hope I can fix it and use it here, it's a really nice phone.

      N83 were built in Quad band which works worldwidely, but now only Dual band N83 available which does not carry 850MHz network.
